Nature of work:

I work and I involve with building new oil tanks farm for storage of the crude Oil in the west field of Kuwait. and also I’m working with the gathering centre 28, project No 14 26 for the west Kuwait.

The oil tanks are connected to one another, the oil tanker pier and the pipeline pump station by underground pipelines which run over centrally radio controlled "junctions". Booster pumps press the crude oil to the pipeline pump station. Pipe rack, flier area, degas boost …etc

My Nature of Works was also such as:

• Oil Inlet-Outlet Station, Works provided: detailed engineering, technical supervision, legal / land administration, permits obtaining.

Position: Mechanical Construction / Design, pipeline,piping Engineer
Nature of work:
My job was to work with construction, pipeline, steel work and fabrication exhausts and piping design, designing of the platform and buoys and i was involved with the sub sea buoy project which provides control via a telemetry link between a host platform and remote buoys installed locally to the production wells using satellite, line-of-sight or HF radio systems. Power is provided by long-running 6 diesel generator sets. Typically 4x6 kW units are used. During normal operation (un-manned) only one will be operating. A second unit is started during manned intervention to provide additional power for lighting, ventilation, personnel lift or hoist and other services. The remaining two diesels provide further standby. In the unlikely event of a complete breakdown, emergency power system batteries provide for 10 days continued operation.

Other duties and responsibilities was

As a member of the mechanical engineer team, I was responsible for the design, construction and structural analysis of offshore structures. This includes preparation of specifications, design calculations and analysis reports.
Manage the receipt, installation and commissioning of the mechanical equipment such as 8 pumps (13.5m3/sec. each), gantry crane and overhead traveling crane on behalf of the Commission to include: Resolve Contractor technical queries, Review of existing specifications to determine scope of supply and contract interfaces,

Coordinate with Contractors and manufacturing representatives in the development of plans covering: Systems to check and record receipt of materials and equipment; resource needs and allocation; testing and commissioning; operator training and turnover to operation and maintenance team; Monitor installation, testing & commissioning of equipment; and Coordinate with Contractor in development of quantity reporting system
and follow-up verification of progress.

I involved with pipelines installation scope of work defined in the contract documents. And with equipment designed, procured and fabricated, Liaise with other engineers within project team.
Assist with the preparation of the pipeline reeling and straightening procedures. Prepare the offshore installation procedures of the rigid flow lines and associated PLETs. Identify and assist with the procurement of the rigging required for the installation .Help out with the HAZID preparations and design reviews.

I also involved with piping work in the refinery On-Offshore projects and most duties which I was Involved with are as follows:
• I executed the technical duties in a competent and professional manner and in accordance with company procedures

Communication
• Good communication skills gained from the wide experience from my previous work with colleagues, suppliers and customers. In my previous employment, I gave regular presentations to customers and suppliers in addition to participating and sometime chairing meetings in my previous posts.
• Working on team projects during my live experience and my course has involved different roles, which have developed negotiation and persuasion skills
• Very good verbal and writing communication skills for meetings reports negotiations...etc… in many languages

Team Work and Leadership Skills
• During my last study course, I have gained a valuable experience in a work that was dependent upon participation and motivation of syndicated project groups. The practical aspects of the course strengthen my experience of working within a team-based culture including planning, organization, and co-operation and ability to manage staff in dangerous situations.
• From my previous appointments, I developed good supervisory skills, to manage employees and contractors working on engineering environments and projects. I have developed these skills through a particular attention to detail and ability to work in difficult environments.
• I have always believed to lead by example and I am always willing to work in different and difficult environment.

Information Technology Skills
• I have a basic understanding IT including that of a programming language, very good working knowledge of several word processing package including MS project, Microsoft window, MS word, Excel, Access, the use of the Internet, MS power point and AutoCAD, Mechanical desktop, Autodesk Inventor.

Problem Solved
• Development of strong analytic and diagnostic skills as part of my degree course
• Part of my previous administration and management work taught me to find solutions to customers and to solve staff problems in a clam and efficient manner.

Other Skills
• Supervise the engineers of oil field, the development of oil field and extraction of oil on site.
• Build computer-based models of oil fields.
• Analyse whether an oil field is economic.
