Summary |
Working as a Lead Mechanical Engineer
Execution of Oil Development project (300,000 barrels per day) MELUT BASIN, (Petrodar Operating Company ) Sudan.
Technical evaluation and selection of vendors for Pressure vessels, skid packages, Turbines, Compressors, Pumps, piping etc.
Review and approval of vendors and consultants drawings and calculations.
Review and approval of shop fabrication and erection drawings and coordination with shop and site team.
Review and approval of piping isometric drawings and calculations.
Material take-off and issue of Material requests to procurement dept. and follow-up.
Technical assistance to procurement and project management departments.
Technical supports to site team.
Working on the tender preparation for the new Oil & Gas Terminal project for PETRONAS’s SOGT (Sabah Oil & Gas Terminal) project in Malaysia.
Execution of new 190MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP), Sabah, Malaysia (Ranhill’s own power plant). The job includes technical evaluation and selection of vendors for GT, STG, HRSG, ACC, piping and all BOP packages, vendor’s and consultant’s design / drawings verifications and approval.

Work Experience |
Having 17 years experience ( 9 years in Malaysia + 8 years in India ) in the following fields
Detailed design of Pressure vessels, Process Columns, Skid packages using the Software like COMPRESS, PVE5 and PV Elite.
Piping design including pipe stress analysis using CAESAR-II
Execution of EPCC projects of Oil & Gas, piping and Gas pipeline.
Execution of Combined Cycle (CCPP) and Cogeneration Power plants including detailed design of HRSGs, fired boilers, piping and BOP.
Selection of Rotating equipments like pumps, fans, turbines, compressors etc for Oil & Gas and Power projects.
Familiar with HRSG thermal design software and Simulation programs. Having skill to optimize the HRSG design to suit CCPP design.
Weight estimation, cost estimation and tender preparation for Oil & Gas Terminals, Power plants, HRSGs, Boilers, Pressure vessels, Process Columns, Process Skids and piping.
Familiar with National and International Codes such as MS, ASME, API, BS etc.
