Role: Project Manager

Location: London - with travel

Our client is looking for an experienced project manager with cost management skills to join them on a major industrial build project. You will be responsible for delivering a major manufacturing plant in the north of England. As a key member of the consultancy team, the ideal candidate for the project management role will have experience in large scale industrial construction projects.

The project manager will join a global construction practice, working with multi-disciplinary and multi-national teams to deliver consultancy on major construction and infrastructure projects for a variety of blue chip UK and international clients.

We are looking for a candidate that is available immediately.

PROFILE: Project manager

You will ideally have a background as a quantity surveyor, architect or civil engineer
6 -8 years + experience in project / programme management for a large construction company, or as engineer in a design office with experience of conducting large projects
UK industry experience essential
Good knowledge of JCT Design & Build (Joint Contracts Tribunal) contracts
Deep construction category expertise
Deep procurement and contract management expertise
Self-starter - able to work independently

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Manager

Develop excellent relationships with clients, demonstrating a full understanding of their business needs.
Demonstrate first class communication skills, both verbal and written, and offer persuasive and convincing business case arguments at all times.
Support the client through full implementation of the project, being ready to give advice and support at every stage.

Document your progress with each client at every stage of the sales and delivery process.
Through excellent communication, demonstrate exemplary management skills in assisting junior members of the team in developing their own professional skills, in order to better support all senior managers across the organisation.
Be prepared to travel when necessary

SALARY:

project manager role package will be:

�40-45K base salary with bouns and benefits
