P4P (Pay For Performance) - The future of job advertising??

We will shortly be offering all clients the option of using P4P (Pay For Performance) for their job postings. In broad terms it means that you only pay for the applications you receive, and you can eliminate unsuitable applications by adding filters such as nationality, visa and skill qualifiers.

You choose how many applications you want to receive per job. The cost of those successful applications is based on the salary range of the job and the number of filters you use.

This service is brought to you in conjunction with our technology partners JobG8. In addition to displaying your jobs on our sites they will also be displayed on all suitable JobG8 partner sites. A list of participating sites can be found <here>

If you are interested in hearing more about the P4P service, please contact our sales department.

Targeting Recruitment Campaigns By Nationality

EU or UK Jobs can be added to Engineer-job.eu and/or ExpatEngineer.net. The table below shows the difference in traffic and their source. ExpatEngineer will give your jobs three times as much exposure but it will also target a more international market.

Standard v Premium Job Postings. Why pay the extra?

Our Standard jobs are e-mailed to the job seeker mailing list on the day of posting ONLY but Premium jobs are e-mailed on the day of posting and again over the next two days. Premium jobs also appear in our Hot-Job section.

During September 2009 on Expatengineer.net the number of times a Standard Job was viewed was 19 times compared to 255 for a Premium Job.

Increase traffic to your company recruitment site and save money. We show you how. (Part 1)

The more popular your site is with Internet search engines such as Google determines how many job seekers will find your jobs. Advertising your jobs on job-boards such as ours is the quickest way to receive applications but you should also look at enhancing and upgrading your company website so that job seekers find you directly.

The simplest way to achieve this is to hire the services of an SEO (Search-Engine-Optimisation) specialist company. However, this will cost you money and you may need to make a large number of changes to your site. Optimisation is a slow process and you should look at seeing improvements in 6 to 12 months. You will not notice improvements immediately.

However, Step 1 is to find out where your site stands NOW. The easiest way to figure this out is to download the Google Toolbar (available here) Once installed you can find out your Google PR (Page Ranking) score and how many backward pages links to your site. For example ExpatEngineer.net has a PR of 5 and over 500 Backward links.

Step 2 is to signup for Google Webmaster Tools (found here) Once installed and setup it provides valuable information into how people find your sites. For Example if you were to type any of the following phrases into Google Search, you will find http://www.expatengineer.net in #1 or #2 position.

international engineering jobs, document controller cv, engineering jobs in abu dhabi, expat engineering jobs, engineering jobs, engineering jobs in france, safety officer CV, das island jobs, engineering jobs in europe, rigging jobs in dubai, engineering jobs in italy etc. etc.

You are striving to make your company #1 in your given specialisation, whatever that may be

In Part 2, we will touch on how to get your company web pages listed on Goggle and other search engines.
